February 21st - February 24th -Peyton was sick (Fever, throwing up (A LOT) and skin rash).

I planned to get a lot of pictures of Peyton, but it didn't work out with her sick and all.

Celebrating Addyson's and Adilynn's Birthdays (2 years old)
We went swimming for Addyson's birthday on Saturday the 4th of February. It was really fun. We even had the pool all to ourselves.
Kyle, Michelle, Brayden, Addyson, Peyton, Michael, Aleesha, Grandma Harrison, Grandpa Harrison, Steven and I spent 2 hours in the pool, kiddie pool and hot tub!

On Sunday we spent the afternoon at Mitch and Brittany's home. Embree was blessed and we celebrated both Addyson's and Adilynn's Birthdays.

April - sick

April has Cushing's Disease (diagnosed 11/2011)
Medication available on the 23rd of November. Hopefully it helps the symptoms (see below). Probably a tumor in the pituitary. Tests and medication are very expensive.
I like this explanation on the web: "Dogs gain weight, lose hair, urinate in the house, and make owners begin to prematurely consider euthanasia. Yet Cushing's disease is treatable and that treatment can result in a longer, more comfortable life for the dog and its owner". NO votes on this one. More symptoms below from vet site.
The most common symptoms include:
• increased/excessive water consumption (polydipsia)
• increased/excessive urination (polyuria)
• urinary accidents in previously housetrained dogs
• increased/excessive appetite (polyphagia)
• appearance of food stealing/guarding, begging, trash dumping, etc.
• sagging, bloated, pot-bellied appearance
• weight gain or its appearance, due to fat redistribution
• loss of muscle mass, giving the appearance of weight loss
• bony, skull-like appearance of head
• exercise intolerance, lethargy, general or hind-leg weakness
• new reluctance to jump on furniture or people
• excess panting, seeking cool surfaces to rest on
• symmetrically thinning hair or baldness (alopecia) on torso
• slow regrowth of hair after clipping
• thin, wrinkled, fragile, and/or darkly pigmented skin
• easily damaged/bruised skin that heals slowly
• hard, calcified lumps in the skin (calcinosis cutis)
• susceptibility to infections (especially skin and urinary)
• diabetes, pancreatitis, seizures
