GRANDMA'S CAMP 2012

Grandma's Camp was started in 2011.
Rules:  Must be potty trained and parents must transport.

So this year I had a camp for the two girls (Addy and Adi)
 and then one for Brayden.  Timing wasn't so good for Adilynn.

GIRLS GRANDMA CAMP:
Friday July 27th: First day: Only Addyson could be there - so she invited Brayden.
           She decorated a personal purse, made a necklace and bracelet.
           Sleep over at Grandma's house.
Saturday - July 28th - Second day:  Addyson (with Brayden etc.) went to the beach.
                                            Adilynn joined us that evening.  Eat out, play, sleep over.
Sunday - July 29th - Third Day:  Addyson went home with Mom.
                                            Went to church with Adilynn (her Ward). and Brayden :).

BOY GRANDMA CAMP:
Monday - July 30th - Went to arcade - played games and miniature golf.  Went shopping and McDonalds.  (He got a Star Wars jet while shopping).  Took dogs for walk; he only fell twice.
Tuesday - July 31st - Went to Riot Zone with Aleesha and Michael (and Grandma).  First trip through miniature golf he fell in the pond trying to get his ball.  He climbed the rock wall and played on the blow up toys most.  AND A LOT MORE.
Wednesday - August 1st - Went to "Madagascar    = with Michael and Aleesha (and Grandma).  Michael's Birthday.
Thursday - August 2nd - Played at Aleesha's Parent's HOME with her little sister Lacie.  Made a music video and jumped on tramp.  Grandma was sick - THANKS SO MUCH MICHAEL AND ALEESHA for taking over.
Friday - August 3rd -  THE BIG DAY!  We hiked the lower/upper palisades lakes (palisades creek trail).  Brayden and I hiked 6 miles.  He would say hiking is "awful" NOT "awesome".  When we got back he changed his mind and was pretty pumped he made it.  We ate lunch on the trail and rested at a place we called the "circle of rocks".  We sang a lot and even made up songs to keep us going.  For a 4 year old that is a pretty long hike and it has some good climbs.  Aleesha and Michael went to the upper lakes and made it back one hour after us and hiked 8 miles further than we did.
Saturday - August 4th - I announced that Grandma's camp was officially OVER!  I couldn't go another step.  Steven and Michael moved Grandma Nesta to a new room.  We cleaned house and played with Grandma's toys - thanks for entertaining him again Aleesha.
Sunday - August 5th -  Went to church and had lunch.  Then Brayden and I set out for UTAH to surprise his parents and get there one day early.  The fires in Eagle Mountain were raging.  Kyle called at about Malad and we told them that we were on our way.  Ate at McDonalds on the way.

Adilynn was ready to clean fish with the rest of them.  She should be fishing with them by next year.

TAH GROUP TOUR - NEW YORK CITY, N.Y.

•  May 31st - Fly ALL day, bought subway ticket, ate at Joe's Pizza
• June 1st - Statue of  Liberty, Ellis Island,  Dialog in the Dark,
• June 2nd -  Tenement Museum, Chinese and Central Park, Museum of Natural History, Ship on Harbor Tour.
• June 3rd-   Sacrament Meeting at church located at temple site, Intrepid Aircraft carrier, submarine, and Holocaust museum, Empire State building.
• June 4th - Philadelphia,Penn.  - Historical Sites and Amish
• June 5th - Historical Society - Classes.  9/11 memorial
• June 6th - Fly home

April 14, 2012 Adilynn and Embree

 Mitch and Brittany came with the girls.  The weather was pretty good and we had a fun time.  Steven and I got to watch the girls while Michael and Aleesha (top left corner) and Mitch and Brittany went to an afternoon matinee.  We love spending time with Adilynn and Embree.   However, it does take a village, or maybe entire large city, to raise Adilynn.  Her parents must be completely wore out after running around with her each day - I know it can't be our age. :)

EASTER WEEKEND 2012

Brayden stayed with us from April 1-April 8th.  Michelle and Kyle arrived on Friday (they went to "The Hunger Games" while we watched the kids Friday evening).  Saturday morning Michelle, Steven, and I took Brayden and Addyson to Firth's Easter Egg Hunt - with Dee's family. Saturday afternoon Mitch and Brittany came.  The kids dyed Easter Eggs.  Some of them also went target shooting.  Easter morning, for Michelle's kids, was spent at our house - after church they headed home.

SPINNING AT THE PARK March 31, 2012

FUN AT THE PARK - Sat. March 31st, 2012

We went to Utah for Conference weekend and stayed with Kyle and Michelle.  Mitch and Brittany also went to Utah.  On Saturday we went to the park.  It was really windy, but we had a good time.  (In the stroller picture, see if you can find Adilynn).  We brought Brayden back with us for the week.

Happy Birthday to You

Mitch said that Adilynn practiced singing "Happy Birthday" to Grandpa Fossa* (Steven).  But she was too shy to do it in front of the camera.  (See video above)

*The Fossa is known as the "King of the Madagascan jungle"

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVEN!

Mockie decided that Adilynn was her best friend on Saturday; okay, Mockie thinks everyone is her best friend. 
Mitch, Brittany, Adilynn and Embree spent the day with us for Steven's Birthday (we are all sick and thought we all had the same thing so we hung out together).

Steven is a half century old!  He looks a lot younger - at least I think so.  It is the pits to get old, but it awesome to have grandchildren! 

 Embree is such a cute little girl.  Even though she didn't feel too good today, she was so pleasant.

MORE SWIMMING - Mitch's family

On the 25th of February we went to the Pool and had some fun with Mitch, Brittany, Addilynn, Embree, Michael, Steven and myself.  It was good fun and Mitch and Michael did a lot of working out!

Peyton spends a week with us

On February 17th we went to Utah to celebrate Addyson's birthday (once again) and pick up Peyton while the Stoddard family went to Disney Land.
February 18th - Drove home from Utah (Peyton screamed the whole time). Arrived about 8:00 pm.
February 19th - Went to Mitch's to wish him a Happy Birthday.
February 20th - No School (Went to dentist and cleaned house)
February 21st - February 24th -Peyton was sick (Fever, throwing up (A LOT) and skin rash).
February 24th - Drove Peyton half way home (meet Michelle and Kyle in Plymouth, Utah)

I planned to get a lot of pictures of Peyton, but it didn't work out with her sick and all.
