STEVEN and I go on a 13 mile hike.

Steven and I decided to hike up to the UPPER PALISADES Lake on Saturday the 11th of July. Steven had a GPS so that we could track the miles and time. We did pretty well for having packs and old age. It was a lot of fun and it was the FIRST time Steven and I have hiked alone.

Spending time with Brayden, Michelle and Kyle

I went to Utah from July 19th - 23rd and stayed with Michelle and Kyle. It was so fun playing with Brayden; as usual Michelle and Kyle treated me like a queen. They brought me home on the night of the 23rd. On the 24th of July I babysat Brayden and his cousin Jayda while they went rafting with the Stoddard family in Jackson Hole. They left on the 26th - I will really miss them!

NEW CARPET AND BEDROOM SET

Steven and I decided to get a new bed to see if it would help my back. Well, then we decided to get a bedroom set - our first in 26+ years of marriage. Then we wondered if you could put a new bedroom set on 22 year old carpet - so we got new carpet (which expanded to the entire upstairs). Well, if we are getting new carpet we need new tile. We updated our bathroom a little at the same time and painted our bedroom. Thank goodness Kyle and Michelle helped us with the entire project!

Boise - Idaho Humanities Institute

Dr. Adler, myself, Claudi and Dr. Shaw. (Scholars on the Supreme Court)

Claudia Mecham and I went to Boise from July 12th - 17th to a Supreme Court seminar. We stayed in the dorms, ate lots of food, and learned a LOT! I am so glad that Claudia went with me - we had a blast!

Myself and Claudia doing a skit about what we learned.

MORE SUMMER FUN

Brayden Stoddard (Grandson) and Hayden Zediker (adopted Grandson-neighbor) enjoy the zoo together.

Hayden turned 1 years old on July 5th. We gave him one of his favorite characters, "Elmo". Hayden didn't really know what to think of him at first, but seemed to warm up to Elmo later. On the 6th he came to visit again and made his first solo trip (with spotters) up the flight of stairs. They grow up too fast!

4th of July and MORE!

Michelle and Brayden came to Rexburg and visited for 2 weeks. Kyle was here for one of those weeks. We made them work them most of the time. They moved furniture and helped us paint! We really enjoy when they visit and we will really miss them. Besides work, we also went to the zoo, nature park, Rigby Lake, movie, parade and Idaho Falls (Mitch and Brittany's home and Lawrnel and Julie's home).

Some landscaping 2009

Steven has been busy fixing an area of our yard. While I was gone back East, he cut down the "70's bushes" on the corner of our lot (not known to me). It hasn't been easy with all the rain we have had.

Social Studies lip sync challenge

My lip sync challenge outfit. This year (2008-2009), at Madison High School, the social studies department challenged the english department to a lip sync. In December, we went on stage at a Christmas Assembly. A student used her cell phone to put the lip syncs on You Tube. If you want to go to you tube and put in lip sync social studies challenge and lip sync english challenge you can watch both departments. Click here to go immediately to the social studies lip sync.

Spring Break with the Stoddards!

I went to Utah and stayed with Kyle, Michelle and Brayden for Spring Break (April 3rd - April 6th). Monday morning Michelle surprised me with the news that they were coming home with me. It was so fun spending a week with them. Brayden is so cute and smart. This picture really makes me think of Brayden's personality! I really miss him and love talking to him on the phone.
Kyle came to Idaho to pick up his family. But before they went home we picked up Steven at the airport (he went to Tennessee for his work). We shopped and shopped - (after all we were with Michelle) and then we played and ate ice cream-(after all we were with Brittany - okay and ME).
We are at the ice cream parlor enjoying more family time. Mitch talked Brayden in to putting ice cream in his hair. Kyle ate too much (peanut butter on ice cream) and we had lots of french fries.

It was a lot of fun! We love spending time with our family. We can't wait until Michael gets home.

Woolf Christmas (January 2009)

We celebrated Christmas with the family on Jan. 1, 2009. We opened gifts, played games and ate a lot of food. We went snow tubing on Jan. 3, 2009. It was so cold it shredded the tubes. We had a great time - but it was COLD!

Christmas 2008

On Christmas day Steven, Michael and Laurene spent 5 hours helping neighbors clear their driveways. Mitchell and Brittany are in Island Park - which got 36 inches in one day. Michelle, Kyle and Brayden stayed in Utah for Christmas. They were in a wreck (everyone is okay), but they still need to get their vehicle fixed; hopefully in time to come to Idaho on News Years Day for our Christmas get together.Brayden got a rocking horse for Christmas. It is amazing how much older he looks in just a month. We can't wait to see him on New Years Day.

This is before we got 6 more inches.

Brayden - Halloween

Steven and I went to Utah and spent Halloween with Michelle, Kyle and Brayden. These are some cute pictures of Brayden trick-or-treating. It was a lot of fun!

Brayden went as a cowboy - isn't he cute?

Kyle, Brayden, Michelle and Laurene Trick-or-Treating.

Brayden got the hang of it pretty quickly.

Family Get Together

Most of our family got together Oct. 11, 2008 to wish Grandpa Harrison a Happy Birthday AND say goodbye to Grandpa and Grandma Harrison for a year and a half. They are going to New Zealand on a LDS Mission. They will go to the MTC on October 27 and will fly out Nov. 3rd. Grandpa went to New Zealand on his mission and has some unfinished business :).

Our family doing our two favorite things: EATING AND WATCHING SPORTS!!!!

Hayden (our Neighbor) Trick or Treat

Sammy, our dog, meets lion. Hayden, our darling neighbor baby (our unofficial adopted grandson) came trick or treating as a lion. We are so glad we have a baby in the neighborhood! He is only 4 months and so alert and interested in his surroundings!

Steven holds up Hayden Zediker so that we can see his cute little tail.

TRIP TO MONTANA

Steven, Michelle, Brayden and I went to Montana to see Michael and watch a little baseball. Once again, Michelle is dragged off to a baseball game - just like old times. Brayden was great for a 1 year old traveling 1100 miles in 3 days. We actually spent more time with Michelle and Brayden than we probably would have if they would have been visiting in Rexburg - didn't have all the things we "have" to do. We saw deer, elk, antelope and the "bad lands". We also spent a little bit of time with Michael.
HERE ARE SOME PICTURES FROM OUR TRIP:
Brayden Sleeping - He would really like to get rid of the pacifier.

Michelle and Brayden with a Paddle Fish - They are found in the Yellowstone River in Glendive, Montana (where Michael goes to College).

This is less than a mile from Michael's dorm.

Steven, Laurene and Brayden.

Michael pitched 4 innings with NO RUNS against
Miles Community College.
