STEVEN'S 30th CLASS REUNION

We went to Steven's class reunion on Saturday the 11th. I can't believe it has been 30 years AND I CAN'T BELIEVE WE ARE AS OLD AS ALL THOSE OTHER PEOPLE. We really don't look that old do we - I know!

Adilynn loved playing with Brayden and his new piano. It is amazing how well she crawls. Brayden wasn't real excited to let her play. Adilynn just goes and goes.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND AND BIRTHDAYS

WHO TOOK THE COOKIES OFF THE CAKE?


Labor day weekend we decided to celebrate Brayden and my birthday. The kids gave me a lot of great clothes (shirts, skirt, jacket, swimming suit) - I am SO spoiled! Brayden got golf clubs and a helmet from Steven and me. He was caught steeling the cookies off the cake. It was a cold weekend, but we had a great time as a family! Friday night I took the family on a tour of the new high school and showed off my classroom.

Michael's Mission 8-21-10

On the back of the picture Michael writes, " I baptized this kid. His name is Luther. The jumpsuit was so small I could hardly get in to it. It was funny looking." He writes in his letter, " I baptized this kid on August 21st. It was really cool to baptize someone for the first time."

Visiting Michelle and Kyle- UTAH

We went to Utah August 6th - 8th to visit Michelle and go to Justin's wedding.
Friday we got new phones through Kyle's plan (lots to learn). We went to dinner with the Stoddard family.
Saturday we watched Brayden and Addyson while Michelle and Kyle went to the Wedding brunch.
Then we met them at the SLC temple at 12:30. I forgot my recommend so I watched the kids while the rest of them attended the wedding.
Then we had pictures taken.
Went to McDonalds (Brayden was starving and so was the rest of us).
Went to ring ceremony (Brayden was the ring bearer)
Reception - (Food and dance) Justin and Avy Stoddard (Michelle's brother-in-law and Steven's best friend's son).
My camera ran out of battery juice and Michelle's got broken by Brayden.
Sunday we came home.

Babysitting Adilynn

Once in a while on Tuesday or Wednesday I get to babysit Adilynn. It is SO MUCH FUN! She is so cute and smart. Last week I watched her Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Steven (Grandpa) is a lot of help!
We go for rides in the stroller, ride the horse, watch Baby Einstein, play with dogs etc.

Visiting Utah July 21-25

July 19, 2010 - Michelle visited (came with Sterling). We went shopping (with the kids)!
July 20, 2010 - Babysat Brayden, Addyson, Adilynn while Michelle and Trista went to Preslee Sullenger's funeral.
July 21, 2010 - Drove to Utah. Addyson slept the entire way!
July 22, 2010 - Went swimming at Michelle's place.
July 23, 2010 - Went shopping and enjoyed hanging out with Michelle and the kids.
July 24, 2010 - Brayden and Kyle went golfing. We planned Michelle's sharing time. Brayden showed me how he could ride his bicycle. Family went swimming.
July 25, 2010 - Church and drove home. (Michelle lost her diamond out of her wedding ring)

HOUSE goal for this year

We have decided that each year we will put a little bit into the house (update and so on). This year we decided on shutters and railing.

THEN OFF TO GIRL' S CAMP 6/22-6/25.

We had lots of fun at the Stake Girl's Camp - But I was pretty sure I had a bladder infection. Woke up Friday in pain and hoped it would just go away. By the 29th, I couldn't stand it any longer. Steven took me to the doctor and I have a Kidney infection. I ache everywhere, have an awful taste in my mouth, run a fever until I think I will freeze to death, hurts to breathe, cough a lot.... Next time I will go to the doctor when it is just a bladder infection.

BRAYDEN AND ME for ONE WEEK :)

Brayden stayed with me from June 14th - June 20th(Michelle arrived on the 20th). We played so hard that I forgot to take pictures. Towards the weekend he also got really sick. It was so much fun spoiling him - I hope his parents aren't to mad at me.
I do have one picture. He wore my glasses until he got a headache.

June 2010 - Michael Mission - Ridgeland

3. This guy is so cool, his name is Butch. We tried teaching him, but he said he won't become Mormon. His son is Mormon. He wants us to come visit him; so we do all of the time. He treats me like his kid - it's funny.

Trip to New Orleans and Birmingham

Our school district has a Federal History Grant that gives us the opportunity to study history throughout the year (lectures and books). Then we travel to the areas/events we have been studying.

June 6, 2010 - Traveled to New Orleans (diverted to Houston airport for a while -weather). Stayed in St. Louis Hotel. Looked around the city and ate an oyster - threw up an oyster :).
June 7 - Katrina tour, Swamp and Bayou tour.
June 8- WW II museum, Aquarium, Insects and IMAX on Katrina.
June 9 - Airboat Bayou tour and fly to Birmingham.
June 10 - Civil Right Institute, 16th Street Baptist Church.
June 11 - New Orleans museum and overlook at Vulcan statue. Fly home (diverted from Denver because of weather). 2:00 am finally home.

THE OUTFIT

The cutest outfit was on sale and I wanted Brittany to buy it for Adilynn. It was for 12-19 pounds. I told Mitch it would fit her for a while. He said it wouldn't fit her more than a month. So we agreed that the person that was right would have to buy the outfit. Looks like I purchased the outfit and Addyson will be wearing it soon. Adilynn also got the cutest sun glasses. It seems she may not think so :).
